Nifty, in collaboration with a US-based team led by Aaron Krause (of Shark Tank fame), sought to develop a wearable battery for the smartphone called the Ion Belt. The Ion Belt doubles as a regular belt and as a discrete cable equipped to charge a phone. The 3,000 man battery is designed to insert directly into a USB wall charge, which makes charging the belt easy when it runs out of juice.
The belt recently launched on Kickstarter, is available to backers for $89, and will retail for $130. The product is scheduled to ship in June 2016.
