Intel’s MICA Gets an App to Match

Intel’s MICA smart wearable, a high-fashion bracelet which functions independent of a smartphone, recently gained a paired phone app. MICA runs on prepaid mobile internet access, and includes the standard battery of call, SMS, calendar, and email notifications. Native apps include horoscope and fashion apps from Refinery29.

The recently-released app serves as a connection point for controlling which types of information show up on one’s MICA smart bracelet. App users also have the option of breaking the connection at any time.

The MICA retails for $495 and is available at Barneys New York or Opening Ceremony.
