Commemorating the 1957 birth of Helvetica, a typeface any New York City subway commuter would recognize, the Swiss watchmaker Mondaine is releasing the Mondaine Helvetica Smart 1957 smartwatch. Only 1,957 watches are available for the limited run.
With a simple yet chic design of bold black numbers on a white face, the Mondaine Helvetica Smart 1957, unlike most smartwatches, does not feature an obviously digital interface. This doesn’t mean it lacks the functions of its more conspicuous counterparts, however. Compatible with Android and iOS devices, it offers activity and sleep tracking, along with sleep-cycle alarms to help the wearer get a better night’s rest. It comes in a stainless steel case with a genuine leather strap, and has a battery life of more than two years.
The Mondaine Helvetica Smart 1957 is available for pre-order until September 6. For more information, see the full article here.
