At the recent launch of its Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ smart phones, Samsung offered a sneak peak of its latest smartwatch, the Gear S2. The watch, which makes its official debut on September 3, looks to be an attractive compliment to any stylish consumer’s wrist.
With several fetching screens, such as one with a half-black, half-blue-green face, and another depicting a simple fluorescent green circle on a black background, the Gear S2 has a round shape, giving it a traditional watch look. According to a recent article by Mashable, it appears to have a brushed aluminum case, with app icons similar to those on the Apple Watch.
Although the company has not yet disclosed its full feature set, the Gear S2 will provide fitness-tracking functions. It will likely run on its own proprietary OS.
